Roy Leftenant is a native of Amityville/Copiague New York. Roy has recorded on the “CAMEO” Platinum selling Album Single Life, also playing drums on the Word up tour. Today Roy has put together Ozone Funk a choice selection of talented singer/ musicians playing, water front nightclubs/restaurants, here on LI and the East End, as well as the surrounding tri-state region. Roy has been hailed as one of the top drummers in the Long Island, NY area.

His dynamic drum solos and driving syncopated funk beat always gets the crowd up and moving. His musical accolades continue while off the stage, having been a consultant to The Lake Grove School as a music and drumming coach to teens with disabilities. Roy has studied with 2 notable influences, Bernard (pretty) Purdy and Dave Garibaldi. While touring with 300 years, rock funk super group, He opened concerts for Eddie Kendrick’s, Kool and the Gang, Issac Hayes, Chaka Kahn and Rufus, which set a standard for performing live. Highly influenced by Chick Webb, Buddy Rich and Tony Williams, Roy’s passion for music & the drum is obvious.
